REVIEW METODOLOGI PENELITIAN DALAM PENGEMBANGAN MODEL INQUIRY UNTUK PENDIDIKAN
Abstrak
Pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri (Inquiry-Based Learning/IBL) telah terbukti sebagai pendekatan efektif untuk mengembangkan keterampilan abad ke-21, seperti berpikir kritis, kolaborasi, dan kreativitas. Namun, adaptasi fase-fase inkuiri terhadap berbagai tingkat pendidikan dan tujuan pembelajaran tertentu masih menjadi tantangan yang belum terjawab secara menyeluruh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan systematic literature review (SLR) untuk mengkaji model IBL dengan fokus pada identifikasi fase-fase inkuiri, eksplorasi adaptasi IBL pada berbagai jenjang pendidikan, analisis relevansi terhadap tujuan pembelajaran, serta evaluasi efektivitas scaffolding dan desain penelitian. Dari analisis dalam rentang 2018–2024 yang diambil dari basis data Google Scholar, ditemukan bahwa IBL terdiri dari lima fase utama orientasi, formulasi masalah, eksplorasi, elaborasi, dan evaluasi dengan efektivitas yang bergantung pada konteks pendidikan dan tingkat scaffolding. Misalnya, model 5E-Based Inquiry sangat mendukung pembelajaran sains di sekolah dasar, sementara fase investigasi mandiri lebih sesuai di perguruan tinggi. Selain itu, scaffolding seperti penggunaan advance organizer dan simulasi digital terbukti mendukung keterlibatan siswa selama proses inkuiri. Penelitian ini menyoroti fleksibilitas dan efektivitas IBL dalam mendukung pemahaman konseptual, keterampilan berpikir kritis, dan pemecahan masalah, serta menawarkan wawasan tentang adaptasi dan implementasi model yang relevan untuk berbagai kebutuhan pendidikan.
